LT:
Leadership TRack for Older Campers

 LT: Leadership Track
LT Programming is designed for campers 16 & 17 years old to provide opportunities for them to develop their leadership.

Many Leadership Track participants go on to be volunteer staff at Camp Quest Ohio. However, the LT Weekend, being an LT at camp, and being a volunteer adult staffer are all separate. You can do just one or two without doing all three.

Leadership Track (LT) Weekend 2024

When: March 1 - March 3, 2024

Where: Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp Ground located at
1362 Caves Rd, Jackson, OH 45640

What: Campers who have aged into the LT program (16-17) and folks who have been LTs but have not yet been on staff (18) will gather for a weekend of fun, friends, freethought, and leadership development Camp Quest style. LTs will learn ways to create the outcomes they want with campers and fellow staffers alike.

It costs us about $175/LT to put on this event, but the event is pay-what-you-can.  Registration includes food and lodging for the weekend.

We are requiring that all participants be up-to-date on their COVID vaccinations. We are also asking participants to take a covid test no less than 72 hours before the event and to not attend if they test positive.  We will issue refunds in the case of a positive result.

Register now.

2024 Summer Camp LT Program

Registration is now open for the LT program that will run as part of our 2024 camp session at Canter’s Cave. When completing the camper registration form, there is a question about LT interest, so indicate you are interested in the LT programming and Camp Quest Ohio staff will be in touch.

LTs need to arrive by 3 pm on June 29. This is the day before camp starts for the other campers. During this time LTs will prepare for their roles as LTs throughout the week of camp.

LTs will:
-Be 16 or 17 year old campers who have applied to and been accepted into the LT program.
-Attend pre-camp leader training (the day before camp).
-Serve as role models for younger campers; modeling curiosity, compassion, inquiry, and excellent behavior.
-Build, share, and transmit camp culture and traditions. This can include, for example, programming, leading campfire songs, or impromptu games, depending on the interest of the individual LT.
-Report to a designated leadership mentor during the camp week.
